Knowledge is a sociotechnical system we can design. We do design it ... every time we think, decide, and act together. Every organization is an infrastructure that enables, or (more likely) inhibits, impactful thinking.
Our technology systems mirror our social systems, and vice versa. If you want to rearchitect a software system -- you have to begin with thinking differently. True digital transformation is moving from knowledge stock to knowledge flow.
Welcome to the early-release chapters of Knowledge Flow.
The book, and the spaces, are an invitation to design knowledge flow. It doesn’t teach knowledge management—it helps you build the future of knowledge work.
Hands-on, real-world experience is your best teacher. Here’s what I suggest you do now:
- Notice one recurring situation where you feel stuck — where knowing doesn't turned into meaningful action.
- Write down what you notice before you interpret it.
- Think about how time, attention and energy shape what you actually do versus what you intend to do.
You can copy the Knowledge Studio template, for a frictionless start. Or just use it as a guide.
